Sonal has been a director at the firm for over 16 years. She is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales with considerable experience in oil and gas, aviation finance, mergers & acquisitions, energy, project finance, employment, banking and corporate commercial matters.
Sonal is a regular speaker at various seminars. In 2012 & 2013, she presented at the East Africa Oil & Gas Summit. In 2013 she discussed Government and NOC strategies for development while in 2012, she presented on laws relating to oil and gas exploration in Kenya, mergers and acquisitions in the oil industry, tax issues relating to farm ins/farm outs and the effect of new laws on production sharing contracts. In addition, she has represented clients such as Apache, Africa Oil Logistics, Tullow, ENRC, Midway Resources, Dominion, Ophir and the Kenya Oil & Gas Association (KOGA) on various industry issues in Kenya. She is ranked as a leading lawyer in Kenya in Chambers Global, IFLR 1000 and Legal 500. Sonal graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree at the University of Westminster, England.
